Profile

Gwanghui Ha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Northern Illinois University.
His research focuses on beam phase-space manipulation and correlation control for next-generation accelerator applications, including future colliders, light sources, and medical and industrial accelerator systems. The research program explores advanced beam manipulation methods and their applications to accelerator science, with past and ongoing efforts including emittance-exchange-based beam shaping, phase-space correlation manipulation, and structure wakefield acceleration.
The group primarily pursues experimental research while closely integrating theoretical and computational approaches. The research program maintains active collaborations with national laboratory facilities and accelerator research programs, including the Argonne Wakefield Accelerator (AWA).
